The owners of CommunityOnThe.Net ("COTN") are concerned about the safety of all our children on the Internet. In voluntary compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we require all new registrants to declare their COPPA status before completing the registration process.
The COTN web site is not intended or designed to attract children under the age of 13. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we actually know is a child under the age of 13.
Occasionally, a child under the age of 13 might have reason to register on the COTN web site. In this case, the child's parent or legal guardian (not the child) should contact the COTN webmaster at admin@communityonthe.net. The parent or legal guardian should provide a telephone number or other information (to be determined by the COTN webmaster) that would allow us to verify the parent's or legal guardian's identity.
Once identity is established, the COTN webmaster will provide the parent or legal guardian with the proper COPPA form. The parent or legal guardian should complete the COPPA form and fax it back to the COTN webmaster. (The COPPA form will contain detailed instructions and fax number.)
Once the proper COPPA form is received, the COTN webmaster will proceed with the child's registration.
